Convection heat transfer coefficients were experimentally determined in a full scale isothermal enclosure at low ventilative flow rates. The room flow field was driven by a radial ceiling jet and a free horizontal jet for isothermal and non-isothermal room configurations.with temperatures ranging from 10°C-25°C and ventilative flow rates ranging from 3 ACH (air changes per hour) to 12 ACH.

Film coefficients are correlated to the ventilative flow rate for each unique room surface. The results compare well with existing high ventilative flow rate data. A single correlation for each surface type describes all film coefficients associated with ventilative flow rates from 3 ACH to 100 ACH.
