The objective of this study was to update and expand the data available on HVAC maintenance costs. Data on HVAC maintenance costs and HVAC equipment characteristics were gathered through a mail survey of samples of office buildings, medical facilities, retail stores, schools, colleges, and lodging facilities. In addition, data collected by Cantera Research Inc. in a study of geothermal heat pumps were supplied for this study.
