There are many measures to reduce the spread of airborne pathogens in buildings including ventilation, filtration and various air cleaning technologies. To make informed decisions, building owners and facility managers need to know which measures or combinations thereof are most effective for specific applications and the associated impacts on energy use. What is currently known about how different measures compare? What are the key considerations for comparing them and what metrics should be used? This seminar shares the latest research on the effectiveness and energy use of various airborne pathogen mitigation measures and proposes a framework for improved comparability.
