Ground-source heat pump (GSHP) systems can significantly reduce energy consumption compared to conventional cooling and heating systems. GSHPs also generally lower maintenance costs. However high firsts costs, and space limitations constrain the implementation of GSHPs commercial and residential buildings. This seminar presents design case studies, optimization, and use of hybrid systems to increase the energy and cost performance of GSHP systems.
