ASHRAE RP-863 gathered, analyzed, and documented information on 23 ground-source heat pump (GSHP) systems that should be useful for consulting engineers who wish to consider GSHP systems in their client projects. Part 1 of this paper1 presents results from 12 of the 23 systems. This paper will present information from the remaining eleven sites, as well as data from an additional eight GSHP projects from two subsequent investigations. A comparison of the characteristics of all the sites is included in this paper as well. The information presented here includes descriptions of the buildings and systems, project costs, system performance, operating difficulties, and owner satisfaction. The data were gathered through contacts with different individuals and organizations at each site.
