Purpose. This commercial specification references defects, descriptions and numbering sequences as identified in PIA-C-7020. They are only for use as a reference in conjunction with PIA-C-7020. Pictures are representative.

Scale. The scale shown in each of the following illustrated pictures which is: 1 square equals approximately 1/4 inch. The pictures of the fabric defects have been enlarged so that the defect can be seen clearer.

Visual defects dictionary. This visual defects dictionary is not intended to serve as a replacement or supersession to the PIA-C-7020 specification for rejection purposes.

Users submit own pictures. We encourage users to submit their own pictures of defects to the PIA Point of Contact identified in the "Notice: Section" on the last page of this document. We can provide guidelines in clarity, scale and instruct them to identify the defect they think it is.
