This specification establishes requirements for nine types of aromatic polyamide reinforcing tape.
Classification. The tape shall be of the following types specified (see 6.1):
Type I - Unaged breaking strength of 400 lbs.
Type II - Unaged breaking strength of 500 lbs.
Type III - Unaged breaking strength of 1,000 lbs.
Type IV - Unaged breaking strength of 1,500 lbs.
Type V - Unaged breaking strength of 525 lbs.
Type VI - Unaged breaking strength of 350 lbs.
Type VII - Unaged breaking strength of 1,500 lbs.
Type VIII - Unaged breaking strength of 2,000 lbs.
Type IX - Unaged breaking strength of 3,000 lbs.
