This Practice provides the Contractor with site preparation, excavation, and backfill requirements. This Practice describes the requirements for excavation, placement, inspection, and management of earthen and organic materials during the site preparation, excavation, and backfill phase of a construction project.
For excavation and backfill specifications for underground pipes, see PIP CVS02700. Excavation and backfill requirements from PIP CVS02315 have been incorporated into this Practice; therefore, PIP CVS02315 is now obsolete. This document is a complete revision of PIP CVS02100, and therefore revision markings are not provided.
