The purpose of the Practice is to provide installation requirements for use by persons involved with the installation, examination, and testing of high density polyethylene piping (HDPE) systems.

This Practice applies to installation of HDPE piping for use in refinery and petrochemical processing plants. This Practice applies to both General Purpose HDPE piping in accordance with ASME B31.3 and Factory Mutual (FM) Approved piping in accordance with NFPA 24.
