This Practice describes the general design (by the Manufacturer), fabrication, examination, inspection, testing, and documentation requirements for pressure vessels to be constructed in accordance with Section VIII, Division 1 {or 2} of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, henceforth referred to as the Code.

This Practice is to be used in conjunction with design drawings and/or Data Sheets, and for project-specific design criteria that may supersede the requirements of this Practice but not take exception to the requirements of the Code.
