This specification provides information covering the use of seven-wire prestressing steel strand for barrier cable systems and includes detailed recommendations for the installation and stressing of these systems.  Information is given regarding strands with different coatings as well as various anchorage systems.  This specification is primarily written for parking structure applications; however, it can be applied to other applications using similar techniques.  Other than the installation sections (3.3 and 3.4), this specification can be applied to both horizontal and vertical barrier cable systems.

This document shall be used in conjunction with the Post-Tensioning Institue's (PTI's) Specification for Unbonded Single Strnad Tendons, latest edition.
