This specification has been declared "CANCELLED" by the Aerospace Materials Division, SAE as of January 2010 and has been superseded by ANSI Z400.1, Material Safety Data Sheets Preparation. The requirements of the latest issue of ANSI Z400.1 shall be fulfilled whenever reference is made to the cancelled AMS 2825. By this action, this document will remain listed in the Numerical Section of the Index of Aerospace Material Specifications, noting that it is superseded by ANSI Z400.1.
This specification establishes requirements for the preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets which will provide information concerning the harmful or hazardous nature of materials to facilitate purchasers' compliance with regulations of the U. S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Requirements for submission of such data sheets will be specified in individual material and process specifications
