This specification covers a corrosion and heat resistant cobalt alloy in the form of investment castings.

These castings have been used typically for parts requiring high strength up to 1500 \mDF (816 \mDC) and oxidation resistance up to 2000 \mDF (1093 \mDC), but usage is not limited to such applications. Extended exposure to temperatures greater than 1200 \mDF (649 \mDC) may result in hardness as high as 44 HRC.
