This document includes recommendations of installations of adequate landing and taxiing lighting systems in aircraft of the following categories: a. Single engine personal and/or liaison type; b. Light twin engine; c. Large multiengine propeller; d. Large multiengine turbojet; e. Military high performance fighter and attack; f. Helicopter which are subject to CFR Parts certification.
RATIONALE: ARP6253 LEDs and Aircraft Applications is one of the references for this document. The number and title of ARP6253 changed during document development, which paralled the development of ARP6402. The change was not incorporated in the references, and this revision is for the purpose of correcting that oversight.
