This specification has been declared "CANCELLED" by the Aerospace Electrical Division, AE, as of May 2011, becaue MIL-M-81531 was cacelled without replacement. Users are referred to AS 5942 for state-of-the-art processes for indirectly marking electrical insulating materials. By this action, this document will remain listed in the Numercial Section of the Index of Aerospace Standard Specifications, noting that it has been superseded by AS 5942.
