This document presents recommended methods for the installation of steel frames for swinging doors in a variety of wall conditions, commonly used in commercial buildings. The installation of transom/sidelight (or panel) type frames and single or multiple borrowed lights are not covered in this standard.
Although this document is commonly referenced for severe windstorm installations, critical performance requirements (such as type, quantity, and location of anchors) shall be as indicated in the manufacturer's published Approvals or Listings.
