This paper will discuss infrared (IR) lamp/aluminum reflector technology. Benefits of such technology for adhesive curing applications will be discussed, including: drying water based adhesive on steel; drying water based adhesive on paper; curing epoxy coating on silicone; curing silicone adhesive and sealant on glass; and drying Eurothane adhesive on glass. In each of these applications, there was a benefit to the end user of each product quality improvement, process time reduction, or energy savings.
