This paper provides a review of plastics which pose a challenge for designers. Along with a review of the plastics typical characteristics is an overview of adhesive technologies which have successfully joined such materials. Adhesive technologies reviewed include cyanoacrylate, light cure acrylic and hot melt chemistries.
