The co-injection manufacturing process does not replace any other process, but it does offer designers, OEM's and consumers some advantages in a number of product categories. The process becomes an additional tool in the designer's arsenal. Designers are provided greater latitude and more advantages in product design than traditional injection molding processes. OEM's often reap the benefits of lower material costs and fewer design constraints. Consumers gain because of added value in the areas of product attributes and costs.
