THIS PAPER PROVIDES A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO THE CONDITIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS OF FRACTURE IN PLASTICS AND THE BASIC TECHNIQUES AND ANALYSIS USED IN IDENTIFYING THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE GUIDE IS SUPPLEMENTED BY A SERIES OF CASE STUDIES WHICH FURTHER DEMONSTRATE THE PRINCIPLES DISCUSSED.
