The assembly of plastic parts is becoming more stressful and detailed. As plastics take on final function and finish with ever thinner sections, it is necessary to incorporate assembly methods that are stress limiting and transparent to assembly techniques. The methodology of joining plastics and other materials with conductive ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (CHUMP) will be discussed in detail.
