The ongoing quest to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of SMC, LPMC, and closed mold compression molding have required more performance from the equipment suppliers. This paper will attempt to identify key equipment requirements as dictated by the process. The mold, load/unload equipment and other material handling equipment is not addressed in this paper.
