During the past seven years the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering has taught a year-long course in manufacturing and product design culminating in a 20 week project for engineering seniors. This course involves mechanical, industrial, electrical and materials engineering students. Accountants, marketing students and informations systems majors are integrated into some teams where the marketplace requires special features or where costing is particularly difficult.
