Experience with a new undergraduate manufacturing engineering course developed and taught by the authors are presented. The course purpose is to expose students from varied engineering disciplines to manufacturing and to generate interest in manufacturing as a career field. Students are introduced to manufacturing through classroom instruction and a project conducted with the participation of a local manufacturer.
