This paper focuses on all the consideration given to starting a master program in Manufacturing Engineering in a private school. The document containing the vision, mission, the graduated engineering profile, the research lines proposed, and the resources available and projected for the future will be presented. Discussion with company leaders, education leaders, faculty, alumni, and others who enriched the orientation of the program will also be presented. The program is intended to be multidisciplinary and interinstitutional in scope.
