A growing number of automotive assembly plants have begun to incorporate all-body powder coating operations in their overall paint processes. While these applications have been primarily limited to anti-chip and primer systems, continuing development in both powder material technology and process equipment could achieve both powder clearcoat and limited color topcoat automotive applications in the North American market in the near future. These application systems are designed to realize the highest appearance standards relevant to Class A surfaces that are paramount in automotive painting operations.
