A FUZZY CONTROL SYSTEM IS DEVELOPED TO OPTIMIZE THE CIRCULAR CUP DEEP DRAWING PROCESS WITH A CLOSED LOOP CONTROL FOR ALUMINUM ALLOY SHEET. OPTIMUM CONTROL BASED ON A FUZZY MODEL IS APPLIED TO THE VARIABLE BLANK HOLDING FORCE (BHF) CONTROL TECHNIQUE IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A UNIFORM WALL THICKNESS DRAWN CUP. IT IS CONFIRMED THAT THE FUZZY BHF CONTROL HAS A GREAT POTENTIAL TO IMPROVE DIMENSIONAL ACCURACY, RELIABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY FOR VARIOUS MATERIALS, BLANK SIZES AND LUBRICANTS.
