This paper gives a general overview about today's state of the art technology in PVC compounding for the calender feeding industry and for pelletizing. The aspects of melt compounding are discussed in detail and how the buss kneader fulfills this goal. The focus is on how to increase the overall economic situation of compounding lines by increasing the utilization factor. Solutions such as: increasing output rates, reducing downtime for cleaning, automatic controls, etc., are discussed in detail.
