Process line technology is increasing in scope and complexity. Turbulence pickling and computer modeling achieve finer tolerances and greater operating flexibility of carbon and stainless pickling lines. Basic theory of strip/sheet pickling is examined, as well as benefits of turbulence pickling. Finally, computer modeling of pickling as well as process line operation is examined and discussed.
