The major factors involved in justifying, selecting and implementing tube bending machinery are discussed in detail. Specific data is explained and documented to give a potential purchaser a better understanding of what is available on the market and how to apply it to his/her given situation. Also included is the ever-changing CNC control systems of tube bending equipment. New advancements in alternative tube bending machinery such as NC and CNC roll bending methods for large radius and multiple radius bending. In addition, the requirements for capital and staffing are outlined. The guidelines in this paper are intended to facilitate a successful tube bending project.
