This paper will attempt to give a brief overview of what the design and implementation of induction tooling entails. A brief description of a few types of induction coils and their applications will serve to familiarize the reader with some of the problems that must be addressed for each application. Incorporating state of the art inductor designs, quick change tooling techniques, flux concentrators, replaceable coil liners, and adjustable bases are some of the areas that will be covered.
