Lasers provide unique processing capabilities for the manufacture of many products, including disposable devices. In some cases, the use of laser micromachining technology allows more cost effective solutions compared to other available methods, even though competing technologies may provide similar technical capabilities. In many other cases, laser based manufacturing processes may provide the only technical solution to unique manufacturing problems.
