The fabrication of micro shapes for advanced materials, such as ceramics, diamond etc., has proven to be very difficult and time-consuming by utilizing ordinary methods. In order to conduct high efficiency micro machining of such materials, grinding process using metallic bond diamond wheels with electrolytic in-process dressing (ELID) has been attempted on a machining center. In this study, the metallic bond diamond wheel was trued, at high efficiency, with the mist electrical discharge method.
