The development of coated abrasives has resulted in the production of high-performance tools in recent years. These tools could be used for a wide range of grinding applications. This paper reports on a process variant of high-performance belt grinding where optimum work results and high productivity are achieved by placing increased demands on the abrasive belts and machine tools.
