The Advanced Grinding Machine Initiative (AGMI) coordinated by the University of Connecticut aims to produce a 250 m/s (0.75 mach) external cylindrical shoe centerless machine using a cubic boron nitride (CBN) wheel for the machining of fully hardened bearing rings.
