THE PAPER PROVIDES A TECHNICAL OVERVIEW OF THE HIGH SPEED LOW DAMAGE (HSLD) CERAMIC GRINDING PROCESS USING ELEVATED WHEEL SPREADS TO ACHIEVE THE SMALL GRAIN DEPTHS OF CUT NECESSARY FOR LOW DAMAGE GRINDING WHILE OPERATING AT HIGH MATERIAL REMOVAL RATES.
