THIS PAPER FIGURES OUT THE PRINCIPLES AND MEASURING RESULTS OF DIFFERENT SUITABLE SENSOR SYSTEMS TO AVOID THERMAL DAMAGE IN GRINDING. SENSORS FOR MONITORING OF PROCESS, TOOL AND WORKPIECE ARE INTRODUCED. EXAMPLES OF INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION OF A LASER TRIANGULATION SENSOR AND A MICROMAGNETIC ANALYZING SYSTEM DEMONSTRATE THE EFFICIENCY OF THESE TECHNOLOGIES.
