A new rough cutting method is described in which a lump of material like a block is removed from the workpiece to improve the efficiency of die and mold machining. A multi-axis CNC machine tool and high-performance drill are used in the machining method. After setting the first surface of the workpiece perpendicular to the Z-axis by using the multi-axis control function, drilling is carried out, this process is repeated for the other surfaces.
