Using state-of-the-art technology, Scansite of San Rafael, California (with the help of Virtual Surfaces of Chicago and Hasbro Toys of Cincinnati) created the worlds first digital dinosaur. The laser digitizing of this 19 foot triceratops, which belongs to the Smithsonian Institution, demonstrates one of the many exciting applications of reverse engineering.
