The field of Rapid Prototyping is an emerging industry which seeks to serve as a link between Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Manufacturing. With the evolution of computer technology, it has become advantageous to design physical objects on CAD. The ability to analyze, test and modify a theoretical object prior to producing any physical structure has greatly empowered the design process. Upon the finalization of a theoretical design, a physical object must be produced. It is this desire of producing a physical object that is based on a CAD theoretical design that has led to the evolution of several methods of Rapid Prototyping.
