This standard gives rules for the professional qualification and approval for certification of surface treatment
inspectors to ensure professional inspection and control before, during and after surface treatment with paints
and coatings on steel and other metals. This standard specifies three levels of certificates, the
requirements that shall be met to be approved and how the approval can be maintained.
