The standard describes methods for testing and evalution of burglary resistance of safe-storage units. The testing shall be carried out in a manner that realistically duplicates burglary methods. This means that methods or tool combinations which are likely to be used in real burglaries, shall be used against the safe. Normally, light and less effective equipment should for instance not be used for testing of heavy products such as strongroom doors.
The standard also gives minium requirements for safestorage units.
The standard may be used for various types of units. For some of these separate standards will be elaborated.
