This standard lays down contractual provisions for use in the purchase of construction products when the purchaser is not a consumer. “Consumer” shall mean a physical person who is not primarily acting in the course of business; see section 1 of the Consumer Purchases Act. The standard shall not apply if the delivery of construction products forms part of a service assignment, including a building contract, and the service assignment constitutes the preponderant part of the obligations; see section 2(2) of the Sale of Goods Act.
