Denne standarden beskriver en spektrofotometrisk metode for bestemmelse av UV-absorbans i naturlig
vann og vann som skal desinfiseres med UV-stråling.
UV-absorbans oppgis som ekstinksjonsenheter (=absorbans) per cm (A254
–cm). Ved bruk av kyvetter med
egnet lysvei kan metoden brukes for alle absorbansverdier i naturlig og forurenset vann.
