This standard specifies the definitions and classification of the petroleum resources/reserves (herein after referred to as resources/ reserves).
This standard is applicable to estimation, auditing and statistics of resources/reserves, and is also applicable to the approvals of domestic concessions and development plans, transfer of mineral ownership, and the resources/reserves evaluations conducted by third parties for fundraising and financing activities during the petroleum exploration and development.
