SPC GB/T 700-2006 specifies steel grades, dimensions, shape, mass, permissible tolerance, technical delivery conditions, test methods, inspection rule, packaging, marking and inspection documents of carbon structural steels.
This standard is applicable to hot rolled steel plates, steel strips, steel sections and steel bars that are generally used in delivery condition for welding, riveting, and bolting engineering structures.
The chemical compositions specified in this standard are also applicable to steel ingots, continuous casting billets, steel billets and their products.
