Adopts IEC 60268-1:2014 to specify safety requirements for safety of electrical and electronic equipment within the field of audio, video, information and communication technology, and business and office machines with a rated voltage not exceeding 600 V. It does not cover requirements for performance or functional characteristics of equipment. AS/NZS 62368.1:2018 will also remain current for 3 years from the publication of AS/NZS 62368.1:2022 which was published on 24-Jun-2022 and after this time it will be superseded by AS/NZS 62368.1:2022. Regulatory authorities that reference either document in regulation may apply these requirements at different times. Users of this Australian Standard should consult with these authorities to confirm their requirements.
