This method describes dynamic sampling procedures to compare a region measured by the QCS on the paper machine to the paper tested in the lab. This method sometimes referred to single point, short scan or mini scan. The method is based on a sample that is collected at a fixed region from the edge of the paper in the CD direction that corresponds to the sensor reading of a narrow CD span.
