With ever-increasing labor and machinery costs, converters are finding it necessary to plan and prepare for installation as well as outline the general and specific details required to ensure a very effective and expedient flexo installation.
A first-rate installation does not ensure excellent productivity. However, a poor installation will guarantee poor performance, high maintenance costs, production bottlenecks, and possible excessive setup times, all of which will be "built in" for the life of the machine. Another by-product of a poor installation will be the negative attitude of the flexo operating personnel which could prove to be harder to correct than poor installation.
