The purpose of this Technical Information Paper is to provide calculations to determine roll length via diameter and caliper. In addition to this paper, a roll length computer program is available though TAPPI Press. The program can be used to calculate Roll length via diameter and caliper; calculate caliper via diameter and length; calculate roll weight via diameter and density; calculate basis weight via roll weight, diameter, and caliper; and bulk via roll weight and diameter.
